New Delhi: Microsoft has unveiled a new feature that allows users to create images using their own words with the help of OpenAI’s DALL-E-powered AI image generator. The feature is now available on desktop for Edge users worldwide. The company introduced the feature last month to the new Bing and Edge preview. Image Creator helps users create images that do not yet exist, making it easy to find a specific visual for social media posts or PowerPoint presentations.

To use the Image Creator feature, users need to navigate to the sidebar on the right side of their browser and tap on the Image Creator icon. They can then enter their prompt and choose from four different image options that fit their needs. After selecting the image, they can download it and add it to their document or upload it to social media. However, when using Image Creator for the first time, users need to enable it in the Edge sidebar by clicking the “+” icon and turning on the toggle key for Image Creator.

In addition, Microsoft has begun testing a new block feature with Edge testers in the Canary channel. This feature allows users to block web videos from automatically playing in the Edge browser. Microsoft shared that they have heard users’ requests for strict blocking of media autoplay and are excited to announce that the feature is now available. The Edge Canary now has a new autoplay setting, “Block,” which stops all media on a site from automatically playing.

Microsoft’s new Image Creator feature and the autoplay blocking feature are great additions to Edge, making it easier for users to create and customize their online experiences. The Image Creator feature allows users to find and create visual content that matches their needs, while the autoplay blocking feature provides more control over media consumption online. These features are likely to be well-received by users who are looking for more customized and personalized browsing experiences.
