New Delhi: Recently Meta has launched a new Instagram for teenagers in India with the most advanced safety features in this Instagram teenagers will get much security and advanced content that are will helpful in their careers like education and AI and other education-related content which are very useful for the teenagers, if we see the Instagram users there are about 2 billion monthly active users which are aged of 18-34 years old in which there are teenagers in Instagram there are many contents which is related to sensitive content which is viewed by the teenagers so by this only Meta has launched Teen-friendly Instagram for teenagers.
In Instagram, there is parental control, age restrictions, and time limits will automatically set by the parent or by the app’s default, and now privacy and security Instagram there is gave much important security means teenagers create their accounts with adult birthdates the verification will catch them and restrict their account at the home page only means the teenagers can’t set the adult birthdate in this Instagram and there is much privacy in this Instagram.
These are the features of this Teen-friendly Instagram:
- Private accounts: the teenagers’ account is automatically set to a private account means non-followers will not be able to see the account or the account content and this will be applied to all under the age of 16 both existing and new and those under 18 who are signing up.
- Message Restrictions: Those people can only message them which are followed the teenagers and the non-followers can’t message them so by this privacy will be maintained.
- Sensitive Content Control: By default the teenager’s account will be set to the most restrictive sensitive enables by which the teenagers will not get sensitive content like physical fights or promoting cosmetic procedures means the teenager’s account will get full security and restrictions of such of them which are not for teenagers.
- Limited Interactions: there will be the default setting that the teenagers only get messages from they have followed or connected to them and the hidden words feature will be enabled by default so that no one can get offensive language in the comments or the messages.
- Time Limit Notification: Teenagers will get a notification of daily usage of Instagram that exits the app and the app will be used only 60 minutes for daily usage.
- Sleep Mode: The Sleep mode will be automatically set between 10 PM to 7 AM while in this no one can message them and muted notifications so the teenagers will not get disturbed by the follower.
Above given features will be added to the new Instagram where parent control is also available from where parents can see all the things that are done by teenagers on their Instagram. Parents can control the full Instagram with their phone means they can block Instagram so that the teenagers can’t access Instagram they can change the time limit also and such features and parents can see the message history of the teenagers that whom they are talking but they can’t see the content of the messages.
