Ahmedabad: The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Ahmedabad hosted an event showcasing and celebrating the achievements of female entrepreneurs and startup founders. As part of TiE Ahmedabad’s flagship event, TiECON Ahmedabad, the session featured insightful discussions and inspiring addresses by successful women entrepreneurs/startups. It was attended by 40+ TiE members from across Gujarat and outside.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Anar Thakershy, TiE Ahmedabad Women Lead, setting the tone for an evening dedicated to recognising the accomplishments of women in the entrepreneurial space. Dr Neha Sharma, Founder and Director of Accelerate India, graced the occasion as a special guest and shared her insights and experiences.

A highlight of the event was a panel discussion moderated by Anar, featuring TiE Women’s Program finalists & semi-finalists. The TiE Women’s Program competition 2023 showcased the talent of 16 women from Ahmedabad, contributing to a global pool of 1,700 applicants from 30+ chapters and 70+ countries.

Pooja Khemka, CEO and Co-founder of TrackNow and winner of the TiEe Women’s Program Abad, Shruti Mehta, Founder of BharatGodam Solutions and runner-up of the program Abad and Parishi Atodaria, Co-founder and CTO of Seedtree Surat were the esteemed panellists.

The panel discussion delved into the journeys and challenges these dynamic entrepreneurs face. The participants said it was inspiring to see more girls and women following their passion and taking the path of entrepreneurship. They spoke about technology and the growing use of AI. The panellists also acknowledged TiE’s support in their entrepreneurial journeys.

Rashida Adenwala, President of TiE Hyderabad, provided valuable insights during the event, reinforcing the collaborative spirit among TiE chapters.

Dharti Desai, TIE Board of Trustees and heading TiE Women, also addressed the women entrepreneurs and emphasised the need to inspire more women to pursue entrepreneurship.

TiECON Ahmedabad 2023 celebrated the indomitable spirit of Gujarat’s entrepreneurs. With over 700 entrepreneurs, innovators, and industry leaders in attendance, it served as a unique platform for networking, collaboration and exchanging ideas. It also witnessed insightful panel discussions and sessions on an array of topics.
