New Delhi: In a significant push towards advancing women’s reproductive rights in India, the Sath Chale Foundation, in collaboration with CIFAR (Centre for Infertility & Assisted Reproduction) and Artemis Lite Multi-Speciality Hospital, successfully hosted a Round Table Meet on March 18 at Nemesia Hotel, Gurugram. Th event gathered policymakers, healthcare professionals, NGOs, and legal experts to address the impact, implementation, and challenges of reproductive rights in the country.
The discussion, was spearheaded by Mrs. Shalini Chowdhry, Managing Director of INOX DÉCOR PVT. LTD. and Founder of Sath Chale Foundation, highlighted the urgent need for policy reforms, increased healthcare accessibility, and community-driven initiatives to empower women.
“Ensuring women have access to reproductive rights is not just a medical issue, but a fundamental human right,” said Mrs. Shalini Chowdhry. Further she added “Through platforms like this, we are taking a step closer to breaking barriers and ensuring every woman, regardless of her background, has the knowledge and support to make informed decisions about her health.”
The discussion focused on the urgent need to bridge the gap between policy and accessibility. Experts emphasized the role of education and awareness in empowering women to make informed choices about their reproductive health. Conversations highlighted the pressing need for clearer legal frameworks, improved medical support systems, and stronger community-driven initiatives to destigmatize reproductive health conversations.
The event saw the presence of distinguished guests, including Adv. Seema Kashyap (Legal Expert), Adv. Vinod Kataria (President, Bar Council, Gurugram), Dr. Anuj Garg (MBBS, Civil Surgeon, Gurugram) and Dr. Puneet Arora (IVF Specialist, CIFAR).
Attendees also explored how private and public sectors can collaborate to drive meaningful, long-term change in ensuring reproductive rights are recognized as a fundamental part of women’s healthcare.
The event reinforced Sath Chale Foundation’s mission to drive awareness, policy change, and grassroots impact. Moving forward, the foundation aims to launch community awareness programs and advocate for stronger support systems that empower women with the resources they need to make informed healthcare decisions.
