New Delhi: Deepinder Goyal CEO of Zomato has finally gotten permission to change the company from Zomato to Eternal Ltd. This permission was granted by the Regulatory Board of India and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and this was changed by March 20, 2025. This name was updated earlier this month when a shareholder of a Gurugram-based company sought to change the name of the parent company to Eternal Limited.

In an interview CEO of Zomato Deepinder Goyal said that he renamed the company name from Zomato to Eternal, he stated that Blinkit is in line to become significant for its future and this was the main reason for changing the name and now they are taking Eternal instead of Zomato.
Netizens’ reaction shocked Zomato Employees means they were not expecting this from Zomato. As part of this transition, Zomato will now change the website name from zomato.com to eternal.com and change the stock ticker ZOMATO to ETERNAL.
