Surat: Solex Energy Limited (NSE: SOLEX), one of India’s most trusted solar brands, reaffirmed its commitment to the public and its employee’s well-being by organizing a Helmet Distribution Event on Valentine’s Day, a day symbolic of love and care. This initiative, “A Perfect Gift for Your Loved Ones, Take Care of Their Life,” underscores the company’s dedication to road safety and aligns with the Surat Police’s intensified efforts to enforce helmet usage, effective February 15, 2025.
The event was honored by the presence of Shri Anupam Singh Gahlaut, IPS (Commissioner of Police, Surat); Shri Raghavendra Vatsa, IPS (Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime and Traffic); Smt. Amita Vanani Ji (Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic); Shri Sahil Tandel (Assistant Commissioner of Police, Traffic); Shri Chetan Shah (Chairman and Managing Director, Solex Energy); Shri Anil Rathi (Director, Solex Energy); Shri Vipul Shah (Director, Solex Energy); Smt. Kiran Shah (Director, Solex Energy) and other esteemed dignitaries. Their collective presence underscored the significance of road safety and responsible commuting.
On the occasion, Chetan Shah, Chairman & Managing Director of Solex Energy Limited, stated, “At Solex, we believe that true care extends beyond the workplace. Road safety is a shared responsibility, and by providing helmets to the public and our employees, we aim to instil a culture of responsible commuting. Today, as we celebrate love, we must also pause to remember those who sacrificed everything for our country. February 14 is also a day of remembrance, marking the tragic Pulwama attack in 2019, where 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives in the line of duty. Their sacrifice reminds us of the value of life and the responsibility we all share in protecting it. We deeply appreciate the efforts of the Surat Police in making our roads safer and encourage all citizens to comply with the helmet mandate.”
Shri Anupam Singh Gahlaut, Surat Police Commissioner, emphasized the importance of helmets in preventing accidents and saving lives. He stated, “Road safety is a shared responsibility, and wearing a helmet is a simple yet effective way to prevent fatalities. It’s not just about following the law but valuing lives. I urge everyone to make helmet-wearing a habit, follow traffic rules, and promote responsible commuting. Together, we can create safer roads for all.”
Gujarat witnessed over 300 road fatalities in 2024 alone, so the Surat Police have intensified their enforcement efforts. Solex fully supports this initiative and urges all two-wheeler riders always to wear helmets to protect themselves and their loved ones.
This initiative is part of Solex’s broader commitment to sustainability, corporate responsibility, and employee well-being, reinforcing the company’s dedication to safety on and off the roads.
