Gurugram: MAPIC (Formerly IRF), India’s premier annual event where retail brands learn, grow, shop, and experience the future of retail and retail real estate in the world’s fastest-growing market, recently organised Shopping Centre Summit & Awards on 19th April, 2023 at The Leela Ambience, Gurugram, in which Reach Group participated as a moderator.

With this year’s theme, ‘Looking Beyond Shopping: Experiential Hubs Crafting Next Decade Of Retail’, the coveted event served as a vital platform to initiate engaging conversations around the right strategies and technologies to pave the way forward for the fast-growing retail industry. While it fulfilled its promise of showcasing upcoming projects of retailers and developers, the 2023 edition also offered an opportunity for networking and debates addressing key issues affecting the industry. There has been growth in the overall industry, and the idea of neighborhood complex is growing; industry leaders like Cyberhub, Reach 3 Roads, and 32 Milestone have been playing a big role.

The Shopping Centre Summit & Awards also witnessed numerous thought leadership sessions, which saw industry leaders and experts sharing their insights on multiple aspects of the retail industry. Among those engaging conversations, a panel discussion titled ‘Socializing is the New Fashion’ was moderated by Nandini Taneja, Vice President (Leasing), Reach Group. The session saw noted industry leaders – Raghav Verma (Founder of Chaayos), Rohit Gopalani (Head Leasing of Inorbit), Chua Zi Jun (Director of DP Architects), Sharad Nagpal (Senior Director & Co-Head, North India, Retail & Leisure Advisory Services of JLL India) and Priykant Gautam (Founder of Plaka Cyber Hub/Karigari) sharing their thoughts on the evolution of mall culture into a holistic social experience.
