New Delhi: On April 15, Jeff Bogdan, who served as the Director of Learning and Development (L&D) at Microsoft for 33 years, shared on LinkedIn that his tenure with the company ended in February due to the elimination of his position. Bogdan expressed gratitude for his time at Microsoft, highlighting his involvement in notable projects such as Windows Phone, Zune, and Windows 95. He emphasized his recent focus on fostering a “teach-it-all” mindset within the organization, aligning learning investments and offerings. However, his job was eliminated as HR adopted a hub and spoke model for L&D that he had advocated for. Bogdan expressed readiness for his “second career” and expressed interest in consulting as a means to continue contributing to the industry. He concluded with a sentiment of openness to new opportunities and discussions.
