Navya Naveli Nanda meets Tim Cook before iPhone 17 launch, Indian creators shine at Apple Park

New Delhi: Apple’s big annual event, the much-talked-about “Awe Dropping” showcase, was not just about new gadgets but also about the special guests invited to Cupertino, California. Just before the official launch of the iPhone 17 series, Indian faces made their presence felt at Apple’s headquarters – and one of them was Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan.

Navya, who runs her women empowerment project Naveli, got a rare chance to meet Apple CEO Tim Cook inside Apple Park. She later shared her experience with a short post on Instagram – “Day 1 with Apple.” Her mom, Shweta Bachchan, added a sweet comment, “What fun!” which made the moment even more special for fans.

Navya wasn’t alone. Popular Indian singer Armaan Malik was also spotted at the event and clicked photos with her and other international creators. Social media quickly filled up with pictures from Apple Park, showing Indian personalities rubbing shoulders with global influencers.

Another interesting highlight was Bengaluru-based YouTuber Ishan Sharma meeting Tim Cook. Known for his videos on startups and technology, Ishan shared his excitement online, joking that he finally met “Tim Apple.” For Indian YouTubers, this kind of recognition is a big milestone and shows how Apple is now paying attention to India’s booming creator economy.

What’s new in iPhone 17 series

Of course, the spotlight remained on the products. On September 9, Apple launched four new models, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

  • The Air model replaces the older Plus version and is slimmer and lighter.
  • The Pro models come with a big camera boost – 48MP lenses, better night shots, and stronger zoom.
  • All phones run on Apple’s new A19 chip, promising faster performance and better battery life.

Alongside the iPhones, Apple also launched Apple Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, SE 3, and new AirPods Pro 3. Pre-orders started on September 12, and the official release is set for September 19.

Why this matters for India?

For me, what’s more interesting than the gadgets is how Apple is building cultural influence. By inviting people like Navya Naveli Nanda, Armaan Malik, and Ishan Sharma, Apple is showing that it wants to connect with India’s young audience on a personal level. It’s not just about selling phones anymore, it’s about creating a lifestyle image.

India is now one of Apple’s most important markets. So, seeing Indian creators at Apple Park feels like a proud moment. It also shows that global brands are starting to recognize the power of India’s youth and its growing digital influence.
