Dolly Chaiwala is now offering chai franchises across India

New Delhi: Dolly Chaiwala, the tea-seller from Nagpur who went viral after serving chai to Bill Gates, is now turning his street fame into a serious business. Known for his flashy outfits, dramatic tea-pouring style, and fun personality, Dolly is now opening franchises across India. Yes, you read that right, Dolly Ki Tapri is going national.

Sunil Patel, better known as Dolly Chaiwala, made the big announcement on his Instagram page “Dolly Ki Tapri Nagpur.” He called his brand “India’s first viral street brand” and invited chai lovers and dreamers to become a part of it.

Here’s what the post said:

“From carts to flagship cafes, we’re launching nationwide and looking for real people with real passion… Limited cities. Unlimited chai.”

He also shared a Google Form for those interested in owning a Dolly franchise, making the process quick and simple.

3 Franchise Options:

Dolly’s team is offering three types of franchise models based on your budget:

ModelInvestment
Cart Stall₹4.5 lakh – ₹6 lakh
Store Model₹20 lakh – ₹22 lakh
Flagship Café₹39 lakh – ₹43 lakh

So whether you’re a small business dreamer or looking to open a big café, there’s something for you.

How Dolly went viral?

Dolly started helping out at his family’s tea stall in Nagpur when he was young. He didn’t have much, but he had style and confidence. Wearing funky clothes and mixing tea with Bollywood-style drama, Dolly stood out.

Then came the Bill Gates moment. When a video of Gates sipping Dolly’s chai hit the internet, it changed everything. Followers started pouring in, now over 5 million on Instagram and 2 million+ on YouTube.

While many fans are cheering Dolly on, not everyone is convinced. Some are asking how someone who runs a roadside stall (that might be illegal) can suddenly offer franchises nationwide. Others are worried that growing too fast could affect quality.

One comment read:

“Hazam nahi hua”, showing disbelief at how quickly things are moving.

But despite the mixed views, Dolly still runs his original stall, serving up to 500 cups of tea every day. Reports say his net worth is over ₹10 lakh now.
