New Delhi: In a gesture of generosity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a pack of toffees from his company Parle Industries, the brand behind the iconic Melody sweets, to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during his visit to Rome on Tuesday and that is why the shares are rallying. The moment became viral with people going crazy about the popular candy brand.
Market reports suggest that the Parle Industries stock has rallied by almost 5% in intraday trading and ended at ₹5.25 on BSE. In addition, following the viral “Melodi” moment between the two leaders, the stock has risen about 7% over the past week due to record investor interest.
