New Delhi: YouTube is taking steps to protect the likeness of creators from abuse with the help of AI. The platform is working with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to introduce tools that allow creators and celebrities to discover AI-generated content using their images, faces, or voices. This partnership aims to give individuals more control over how they use their digital replicas, especially as artificial intelligence becomes more sophisticated and widespread
YouTube will be testing the equipment with elite athletes starting early next year. The idea here is to make such videos recognizable on the platform by having AI mimic their face, voice, or some other aspect of their personality to make it easier for them to request to download such content do not leave. Once the evaluation phase is complete, YouTube will then broadcast the program to its top creators, creative professionals, and other influential people on the platform. This will protect popular YouTube users who often have to deal with issues such as impersonation and misuse of their images.
In September, YouTube has already revealed plans to develop tools to control agents of AI-powered creators, including their voices. Now, it takes this promise further by effectively giving stars a much broader treatment of the subject.
This is especially important in today’s world where AI technology is so advanced that it can now even create hyper-accurate animations of a person’s face, voice, or body and use them in ways that the original designer would never have approved. One of the key players in this effort is the CAA. The company represents many of the world’s biggest stars and is gearing up for such a scenario. Last year CAA introduced a system called CAAVault.
