New Delhi: Xiaomi has introduced their latest AI Smart glasses in their home country, China. After Meta and Google, Xiaomi has also entered the smart eyewear market with its rival products. The Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 chip will power these AI smart glasses, and Xiaomi will integrate the company’s XiaoAI chatbot, enabling voice control, real-time translation, and more.
These AI Smart Glasses are currently available in China, with Xiaomi yet to announce launch plans for the global market. These Xiaomi AI glasses come with 4 GB of RAM and onboard storage of 32 GB. This glass will also feature a 12MP camera that supports 2K video recording at 30 frames per second, along with a stereo speaker system for audio output and five microphones for voice input and capturing environmental sounds.
A 263mAh battery powers the device, with charging supported through USB-C. According to the company, the smart glasses can deliver up to 8.6 hours of typical usage or up to 7 hours of music playback time. It weighs just 40 grams; the Xiaomi AI Glasses are ergonomically designed for Asian facial structures and come with an IP54 rating for dust and water splash resistance.
In terms of connectivity, these AI smart glasses will be paired with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 and are compatible with Android devices running Android 10 or later, as well as iPhones with iOS 15 or later.
These AI Smart Glasses will have a XiaoAI voice assistant, which powers real-time translation across 10 languages, including Chinese and English. Users can interact with objects in their surroundings through the AI assistant by asking contextual questions. Additionally, Xiaomi claims the glasses can facilitate QR code-based payments, allowing users to look at a QR code to scan and pay.
