Xiaomi unveils Redmi Note 17 Series with giant batteries and large displays

New Delhi: Xiaomi has finally introduced its most anticipated Redmi Note 17 series in China. Redmi Note 17 series includes two models: Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro, with the biggest aim being a massive battery pack, improved durability, and long-term battery health guarantees. Now, let’s discuss the specifications of these two latest models.

Redmi Note 17

It sports a large 7-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor coupled with a massive 8,000mAh battery pack with 45W wired fast charging support. Out of the box, it runs on Android 16 based on HyperOS software.

In terms of the camera, it includes a 50MP main camera sensor. It is specially designed for users whose main aim is battery life, media consumption, and affordability.

Redmi Note 17 Pro

It features a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with up to 3,500nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset coupled with a massive 9,000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging support. In camera, it includes a 200MP main camera sensor. And it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It also carries an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance.

One of the biggest announcements is Xiaomi’s battery protection program for the Redmi Note 17 Pro. Xiaomi claims that the battery should retain at least 80% of its original capacity after four years of normal use. If it drops below the threshold within the covered period, Xiaomi will offer free battery replacement in eligible markets. Redmi Note 17 series uses silicon-carbon battery technology, enabling Xiaomi to pack significantly higher battery packs without making the phones excessively thick.
