New Delhi: Xiaomi has launched its latest true wireless earbuds, the Xiaomi Buds 6, in China as the successor to the Buds 5, which were launched back in July 2024. The latest Buds 6 come with the semi-in-ear design for comfort, as well as the charging case with the bionic curved design. The Xiaomi Buds 6 have been priced at CNY 699 (roughly Rs 8,935), coming in four colour options: Moon Shadow Black, Pearl White, Titanium Gold, and Nebula Purple, which are available for pre-order along with the availability from December 27 on Xiaomi’s website.

The Xiaomi Buds 6 are very lightweight, with each of the earbuds weighing only 4.4g, and the charging case weighs 35.4g. The half-in-ear design provides a snug, comfortable fit in the ears, regardless of who wears them, and they also have IP54 dust and water resistance. The audio system is improved through the use of Golden Ear tuning by Harmon Kardon, along with support for various codecs, such as AAC, SBC, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, and LC3. The earbuds also come with the Adaptive Noise Cancellation for better audio in noisy surroundings, in addition to a separate recording function known as Headphones 2.0. The use of Bluetooth 5.4 guarantees a stable connection within the range of 10 meters.

Battery life is another feature that highlights these earbuds; the battery in each earbud is 35mAh, while that in the charging case is 475mAh. Xiaomi also claims battery life of six hours without ANC, and a total of 35 hours with the charging case. With ANC on, the battery life for the earbuds is 3.5 hours and a total of 20 hours with the charging case.
