New Delhi: Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest Redmi Buds 8, its affordable wireless earbuds. It features ANC and is specially designed to support high-quality wireless audio transmission. It focuses on delivering a solid feature set at a relatively low price point.
ANC is also included and is rated to reduce ambient noise by up to 50dB. It also supports the LDHC codec, which is highlighted in this segment, by potentially allowing high-quality wireless audio transmission with minimal loss.
Audio output is handled by the dual 11mm drivers. Redmi is also highlighting its Sound ID feature, which is based on a personalized hearing test. This enables the audio playback to be tailored to the user’s individual hearing profile and preferences. Battery life is rated at up to 11 hours for the earbuds alone, and up to 44 hours when using the charging case, both without ANC.
With ANC enabled, this earbud battery life drops to 6.5 hours for the earbuds and up to 28 hours in total. These earbuds are officially rated IP54 for water and dust resistance.
