New Delhi: X has officially released its automatic post translation and a latest AI-powered photo editor, as part of the efforts to improve the in-app user experience. Both latest features are powered by xAI’s Grok models, with the translation tools now extending globally, and image editing is now available on iOS.
Automatic Translation for posts is now being rolled out worldwide. This feature will translate posts by default, and users will be able to turn it off for specific languages through the settings toggle.
The company is also unveiling a new photo editor on its iOS application. This upgrade includes basic tools like drawing and text alongside a blur feature that lets users hide their sensitive details, like faces or personal data, in images.
The platform is also adding AI-based editing via Grok, allowing users to modify images by using natural language prompts.
These latest editing features will be rolled out to Android devices in the future. This upgrade follows the criticism faced by the X earlier this year over the misuse of AI image tools, including cases where users edited other images without consent.
Then the company subsequently limited some image generation features to paid users only, though it now remains unclear whether the latest AI editing tools will have similar restrictions.
