Why isn’t Samsung launching its trifold smartphone in India or in the US?

New Delhi: Samsung is expected to launch its first-ever trifold smartphone globally, but according to some recent sources, it has come to know that Samsung might not launch its trifold in the US and India. Now, there are many users who will ask why this is going to happen. What is the main reason why sources suggest that? Firstly, let’s know about the launch. It was expected that the Galaxy Z TriFold was going to be unveiled at the upcoming Galaxy Event on 21 October 2025, alongside the Galaxy XR, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Now, the company is expected to launch it at the APEC 2025 Summit, which will be live from 31st October 2025 to 1st November 2025.

According to some reports about the Galaxy Z TriFold, Samsung will launch it in China, South Korea, and the UAE. Reports also suggested that the brand is also considering offering the product in the US. Well, a popular tipster claims that the latter may not be true. On X Platform, Evan Blass claims that Samsung will launch the brand’s first phone with the tri-folding display in China, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and the UAE. According to him, the company may not release the device in any other regions around the world. In simple words, Samsung may not launch the Galaxy Z TriFold in the US and India, which could be a massive blow for all of the people in the country looking forward to the device.

Samsung is going to make only 50,000 units of the Galaxy Z TriFold, indicating a lack of confidence in its sales potential, like the S25 Edge. The company has had the device ready for production for some time now, but uncertainty over its market viability has delayed the process. Moreover, complicating matters is the rumour that the price tag of $3,000 for the device is an excessive cost that may deter potential buyers. This might be the reason why Samsung is not going to launch the Galaxy Z TriFold device in the US and India.
