Why every phone is starting to look like an iPhone

New Delhi: In today’s era if we look at the latest smartphones from brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, and OnePlus, you might notice something pretty interesting in these brands: they are all looks almost exactly like iPhones. And it’s not just from the outside of the phone with its flat edges and with camera shapes; even the software inside looks the same too. The icons, the settings, and the swipe-down menus now exactly feels like you are using an iPhone even when you are holding an Android device in your hand. This is a huge change from a past few years ago when every brand tried to look different from iPhone.

This was all started back in the year 2007 when Steve Jobs launched the first ever iPhone. Before that, phones were hard to use and often had tiny buttons or plastic pens. After Apple was launched it has changed everything by making a screen users could touch with their fingers and a simple layout of applications. Because people loved this so much, Google and other smartphone makers has decided to follow Apple’s lead. Over the last 15 years, the “Apple way” has become the standard for how a smartphone should work for the users.

In places like China and India, owning an iPhone is a big deal it is a symbol of success for every users. Companies like Xiaomi and Vivo has realized that many of the people want an iPhone but cannot afford one. To solve this problem for every users, they has started making phones that look and feel like exactly iPhones but cost much less. They took Apple’s best ideas and put them into cheaper phones. They even copied names like “Pro Max” that Apple usually use in their every series, so that buyers would feel they were getting a high-end product.

Android brands are also working much hard to make it easy for iPhone users to switch. In the past, it was very hard to move your photos and WhatsApp messages from an iPhone to an Android. Now, some latest tools make this transfer very simple for the users. These companies have also made it so their phones can connect easily to the Apple products like AirPods and MacBooks. They are trying to prove that you can have the “Apple style” without being locked into Apple’s expensive world that was their exact reason why they are copying iPhone.

In the end, this is actually good for us as buyers. Android phones are taking the best parts of the iPhone like the clean design and easy menus and adding their own better features. Today, many Android phones have better cameras, faster charging, and more smart features than the iPhone, but for half the price. The “gap” between the two is almost gone, and users can now get a premium experience without spending any expensive pricing.
