New Delhi: Around a month ago, Dhruv Rathee uploaded a video in which he said that he was risking all his fame for just one startup he was working on. In that video, he also unveils his first-ever AI startup called Fiesta. Fiesta is basically a chatbot, where users can select all of the other chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, and other chatbots. After selecting these, it becomes clear which chatbots are most relevant and accurate in their responses. In this AI startup, this was the primary focus. It was a token that they would be credited after purchasing the subscription to this AI model, which was around Rs 999 per month. In this one-month subscription, users get 400,000 tokens. This means that after using these 400,000 tokens, users are unable to perform any actions.
Now, some users like this AI startup, while others do not, as they are not checking or using Fiesta. The reason is that, firstly, the Rs 999 subscription includes 400,000 tokens for comparison purposes. Many users said that these 400,000 tokens not that much to compare the topics on various chatbots, users are saying these 400,000 tokens are not enough for them, and if we discuss about the other reason it was an aggregation platform with the misleading token limits and no unique differentiators against its direct competitors like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Perplexity, and other chatbots. After they getting problem of less token, they have upgrade their token from 400,000 to 3 million, but now there is no need to upgrade the reason people don’t even focusing on Fiesta.
The critics discovered the platform used OpenAI’s models under different labels, offered a restrictive token model that drained quickly, and was significantly less valuable than more affordable, higher allowance plans from major providers. Now, if we discuss the main reason for the failure, it was that after Dhruv Rathee announced this AI Fiesta startup, OpenAI couldn’t see it. In the next 1 to 2 days, OpenAI announced ChatGPT Go, specifically for Indian users, at a price of Rs 399 per month. There are approximately 400 million monthly active users on ChatGPT. Hence, these users get relief from the previous subscription of Rs 1,773. It was not affordable for some users, so, in response to the competition and high pricing, OpenAI announced ChatGPT Go for their Indian users. And it became the most advanced competition for Dhruv Rathee’s AI Fiesta. After this, only this AI Fiesta failed in just 1 day.
But now, there is one more question, that “OpenAI was the only brand who literally dismissed the Dhruv Rathee’s AI Fiesta Startup?” This will be the main question and even the most critical point to discuss. If we discuss the reality, then today’s tech world, everything can change overnight. A single press release can overshadow a startup product. A tweet can dismiss their startup before it even begins. It is unfair, but it is reality. The real lesson for the founders in 2025 is that success is not just about building something new; it is about surviving the giants and staying visible in an attention economy that forgets fast. This is why AI Fiesta has failed in just a few days after OpenAI announced the ChatGPT GO with the pretty impressive and lower subscription pricing.
