New Delhi: Vivo is gearing up to launch its new flagship smartphone lineup and the Vivo X500 Pro Max is already quite a buzz. Having a bigger display, a better display technology and its camera capability, the phone might be one of the most talked-about flagship of 2026.
Vivo has announced that the X500 Pro Max will have a 6.85-inch BOE Q11 ZEISS Master Color display. The company says this will be the first smartphone in the world to be equipped with this special display panel. The 2K resolution is expected to provide more clarity and details for videos, games, content browsers and give a more immersive feel when watching content.
That’s not all Vivo is interested in with the display, however. The motion blur when scrolling has been reduced by 93 per cent compared to the previous generation, according to the company. It is also claimed to have greater uniformity in colour and an increase in brightness uniformity of 43%.
Vivo is also tackling one of the major concerns for high resolution smartphone displays battery usage. The new panel consumes 21% less than the previous 1.5K panel, the company claims. It has been also expected to have a doubling period is its lifetime, this may be more feasible for long term use.
The X500 Pro Max will be no ordinary flagship. Vivo has already announced a high megapixel ZEISS APO super telephoto camera, and some of the previous reports indicate that the next-generation MediaTek flagship processor and a big battery will also be employed.
Vivo’s X500 series will includes three models Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max which will going to see their debut in China in September 2026.
Thus, will the Vivo X500 Pro Max shatter all the records and emerge as the favourite of the buyers for the year 2026? It’s still too early to tell. Despite its huge 2K display, high-end camera capabilities, and flagship performance and display efficiency, however, it can maintain a high competitive edge against the biggest smartphones of the year.
