New Delhi: Vivo has recently released its latest Vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G in India. Vivo’s latest budget device focuses on battery capacity and physical durability over display resolution. It features a massive 6,500mAh battery. The company stated that the battery is specially designed to retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles. In terms of charging, the device supports 44W wired fast charging, which Vivo stated can charge the device from 1% to 50% in 38 minutes.
Vivo is aiming for the device’s build quality. Vivo T5 Lite 5G has an IP65 rating, which means it is protected against dust and water. It also carries a MIL-STD-810H certification, suggesting it has passed specific military-grade drop and shock resistance. It sports a 6.74-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200nits of peak High Brightness Mode.
It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6nm octa-core chipset, and is also coupled with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB through a microSD card slot. It is equipped with a 50MP main camera sensor coupled with a 0.08MP secondary lens. On the front, it has a 5MP main camera sensor for selfies and video calling. It also includes a small RGB ring light on the back for notifications, alongside hardware features like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Out of the box, it runs on OriginOS 6.0 based on Android 16. It includes some integrated AI features for text generation and audio transcription, as well as the Private Space feature for securing files. The sale starts on July 22 via Flipkart and Vivo’s official online store. It is available in two color options: Twilight Shadow and Wave Blue. It is priced at Rs 19,999 for the base model.
