New Delhi: Samsung is preparing for the upcoming launch of its Galaxy S24 series, putting an end to a year of speculations and leaks. The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is reportedly scheduled for mid-January, where three models are expected: the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Contrary to earlier leaks hinting at satellite connectivity for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, a recent report suggests that this feature is unlikely to be included, setting it apart from the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

According to reports, the anticipated release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected earlier than initially speculated, leading to the exclusion of satellite connectivity. Despite persistent rumors about this feature since the previous year, the Galaxy S23 Ultra did not incorporate it. Although there was anticipation for its inclusion in the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the report suggests that the chances of this feature being added are minimal.

The envisioned satellite connectivity feature was expected to function similarly to Emergency SOS via satellite, allowing users to contact emergency services in critical situations where regular network connectivity is unavailable.

There are speculations that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra might feature a titanium frame, aligning with the build quality of competitors such as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Other potential features include a flatter display, a more advanced chipset, and an enhanced 50MP 5x telephoto camera.

The flagship smartphone may come in four color options: Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow. It is expected to feature a flat 6.8-inch QHD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, promising improved overall performance.

In terms of camera specifications, the quad-camera setup on the rear is anticipated to include a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 10MP 3x zoom lens, and a 50MP 5x periscope lens. The smartphone may come with 12GB of RAM across all storage configurations and offer connectivity features like Wi-Fi 7 and Ultra Wide Band (UWB).
