New Delhi: Tecno has recently teased its latest concept phone that claims it will feature the industry’s first true 0mm display bezel by pushing the screen right to the edges of the chassis. This device is likely to make its official debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin this September. Unlike those current flagship phones that still have ultra-thin black borders, Tecno stated this concept eliminates visible bezels entirely. This display appears to flow seamlessly into the frame, creating an edge-to-edge viewing experience.
Tecno has reported redesigning the device’s internal layout by using the latest panel encapsulation technology with advanced component stacking and a redesigned chassis structure. These changes enable the display to expand much closer to the physical edges.
Despite the bezel-free design, the teaser still shows a centered punch-hole front camera instead of an under-display camera. However, the display reaches to the edges, Tecno has stated it has been developed through the latest touch algorithms to minimize those accidental edge touches while maintaining responsiveness.
Modern flagship devices, by including those from most popular brands Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, and Vivo, still retain that small display borders for the structural integrity and display driver placement. Tecno’s concept demonstrates how future phones could deliver higher screen-to-body ratios, more immersive gaming and video experiences, and larger displays without increasing overall phone dimensions.
At this moment, no commercial debut has been announced. Tecno describes it as a concept device, intended to showcase future display technology instead of an upcoming retail product.
