New Delhi: The most popular and mostly used social media platform Snapchat has finally listened to their users demand. Now the users on the applications can finally save chats permanently without any hassle, through the Infinite Retention features which is newly introduced in Snapchat by their company, additionally, now even the group chats can have the streaks, so for the streak lovers this will be an good news for them. The company also claims that it has tested both these features for sometime now and can finally roll them out to all of the Snapchat users.
When this latest Infinite Retention is turned on, both the sides are notified of this latest change ensuring the transparency. Snapchat sends the similar notifications when someone takes an screenshot in any chats, both the users will have the option to turn off Infinite Retention as well, so for the users who don’t wanted this features they can turn it off. This toggle on chat history brings the Snapchat more in line with more traditional messaging platforms such as the WhatsApp, this can potentially motivate users to have more conversations on the application without the fear of losing it within a few moments.
Streaks are one of the most popular features on Snapchat so far, it has only worked in direct messages. Two users have to send at least one Snap or photo to one another within the period of 24 hours to build a streak. To maintain the streak, both the sides need to send one another at least one Snap every 24 hours. Now, the Snapchat has finally take down this feature for the groups also. The company also claims that most members of the group need to send Snaps regularly to maintain the streak. This might means that not all members need to contribute to keep the streak going.
