Say goodbye to multiple plans: AppleCare One covers all your Apple devices

New Delhi: There are many users in the world who own more than one Apple device, like an iPhone, iPad, MacBook, or Apple Watch. Keeping track of each one’s warranty or repair plan can get a bit confusing and much expensive for them. That’s why, by seeing this many issues for the users, Apple has officially introduced something unique this time; they launched AppleCare One, a single monthly plan that covers multiple Apple devices, so users will get a combo offer for all of their device protection.

AppleCare One is the subscription plan that starts at $19.99 per month in India currently, it will cost approximately Rs 1,660, and lets users protect up to three Apple devices. These could be their iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or even their Mac. If they have more than three, they can add extra devices for $5.99, which is roughly Rs 500 per month for each one. They don’t have to buy separate AppleCare+ plans for each product, which usually costs more. If the users want to cover their iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch separately, they might end up spending around $11, which is almost Rs 900 more every month, compared to this latest bundled plan.

In this, they would normally get with the AppleCare+, plus a little bit more. They will get:

  • Unlimited accidental damage repairs like drops, cracked screens, spills
  • Battery service coverage
  • 24/7 support for Apple experts
  • Fast service from Apple-certified technicians
  • Theft and loss protection, not just for users’ iPhones but also for iPads and Apple Watches

Apple is now allowing customers to add devices they already own as long as they’re in good condition and are less than four years old. This is a significant development because, previously, users had only 60 days from the date of purchase to purchase AppleCare+. If a user trades in their iPhone, for example, and gets the latest one from Apple, the old one will automatically be removed from the plan, and the latest one will be added. They don’t have to do anything manually. For now, AppleCare One is launching in the United States. There’s no word yet on when it will be available in India, but considering Apple’s growing presence here, it may be available soon globally, including in India.
