Satya Nadella reveals how humans can still win in an AI-dominated tech world

New Delhi: When AI is doing all the work of humans, and some people are also predicting that AI will take all the work of humans in future, but Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella offers a definitive answer on this, suggesting that success in getting a job in the AI era hinges on mastering fundamental skills like computational thinking and system design.

In a face-to-face conversation with YouTube creator Sajjad Khade, Stay Nadella says,” Just getting real fundamentals of software if you’re software engineer, I think, matters a lot. To me, having the ability to think computationally is essential.”

When asked about what matters most to someone starting in today’s AI-driven software world, Nadella says that the path to becoming a software architect gets accelerated. All of us will be more software architects.

Satya Nadella’s insights come at a crucial juncture, as AI tools demonstrate an unprecedented ability to automate complex tasks, including aspects of coding and data analysis. While these capabilities might spark concerns about job displacement, the Microsoft chief’s message pivots towards augmentation and the value of basic human intellect.

Satya Nadella’s view echoes that of Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who sees AI as a tool rather than a factor for job replacement. Both CEOs have highlighted the advantages of using AI tools to handle basic coding in their products and how humans are required to guide those systems. Pichai has even confirmed hiring more human engineers in 2026, thus utilizing brilliant minds to think about more creative aspects.

Satya Nadella’s advice serves as a critical roadmap for those entering the industry. While familiarity with cutting-edge AI tools is beneficial, rue long-term relevance comes from understanding the underlying principles that govern all technology.
