Samsung’s October surprise? Project Moohan VR headset may launch soon

New Delhi: The first-ever headset that is going to run on Android XR, not other than Samsung’s most rumored and highly anticipated Project Moohan, is now rumored to launch on September 29, 2025. Users have been almost there for now, but there are some recent reports from Korea in which they claim the launch has been pushed back to October 21, 2025. Now, there will be many questions about why they have delayed the launch of the Project Moohan VR Headset. If this is accurate, there will be an online launch event for the headset on that day.

It will become available immediately after the launch. Samsung is allegedly targeting to sell around 1,00,000 units, but the number will be adjusted after confirming the initial demand in the market, following the Moohan’s release. If the users are wondering what the reason for the delays is, apparently, it all has to do with coordinating the internal marketing strategies; if the users think that, apparently, not, the company’s first tri-fold smartphone will get a separate launch.

In Korea, the Moohan is expected to cost around $1,400, and if we convert it into Indian currency, then it will be at Rs 1,32,000. That would make it cheaper than Apple’s Vision Pro but significantly more expensive than Meta’s Quest 3. The Moohan’s display is stated to reach a pixel density of about 3,800 ppi, higher than that of the Apple Vision Pro. Samsung’s headset uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 SoC, paired with 16GB of RAM.
