New Delhi: Samsung has introduced a luxury edition of its recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 7, but the catch is that this latest luxury edition is only available in China. Samsung has unveiled the W26 as the premium variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. While the core specs remain the same, the Chinese edition is designed to feel more exclusive and luxurious. It continues Samsung’s tradition of offering the W-series as a symbol of status and style. The W26 stand out visually with its rich red and black colour options, which are paired with gold accents around the frame and camera module.
These touches make it look more elegant and expensive than the global model. Despite the cosmetic upgrades, it maintains the same size, thickness, and weight as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. One of the most notable additions in the W26 is satellite connectivity. This feature allows users to make calls and send messages even without mobile networks, ideal for emergencies or remote areas. However, Samsung has limited this function to within China for now, making it a regional perk.
The Samsung W26 runs on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and includes a 200MP primary camera for sharper photos. It also gets 16GB of RAM and more than the regular Fold 7; it is available in 512GB and 1TB variants. The foldable starts at 16,999 Yuan, which is approximately Rs 2.1 lakh. Unlike most modern flagship phones, the W26 offers the full unboxing, which comes with the Kevlar case, charging cable, and even a power adapter. Samsung sells the W-series exclusively in China through a partnership with China Telecom, positioning it as a luxury foldable.
