Samsung Tri-Fold wonder to take center stage at global summit

New Delhi: After the rumors, now all of the users’ eyes are on Samsung’s latest tri-folding smartphone, and from several reports, it has been suggested that the groundbreaking device will launch before the end of this year. The latest reports also claim that it will launch at the upcoming international summit. Samsung will unveil its first-ever tri-folding smartphone during the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, which is scheduled to take place in the southeastern city of Gyeongju from October 31 to November 1, 2025.

The device could be called the Galaxy Z TriFold and will be an improvement over Samsung’s existing book-style foldable phone, like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and it is also expected to have two hinges that will fold the device into three parts. Previous reports claim that the Galaxy Z TriFold has a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and 256GB to 1TB of Storage. It will run on Android 16, based on the One UI 8.0 out of the box.

On the back panel, the phone will likely feature a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom; it could also have two 10MP selfie cameras. When it is fully open, it will have a big full-sized tablet screen, and when it is fully closed, it will have a phone-like screen. When it is partially open, it will offer a Galaxy Z Fold 7-like, decently large screen. No other information has been revealed about the device’s battery, and no confirmed details have been reported. Recently, Samsung and OpenAI have partnered, so there might be an improvement or features added to this TriFold smartphone soon.
