Samsung sparks hype with Galaxy S26 camera preview

New Delhi: Now there is not much time for launching Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy S26 series globally, and as we all know, in this S26 series, we are going to have three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company has not yet revealed the official date for the unveiling of this flagship device, but it has dropped some teasers by suggesting that the focus of the upcoming series will be camera upgrades, especially in the zoom and low-light video performance.

In some sources, it has been reported that Samsung has released three teaser videos about the camera zoom capabilities. One of them teaser videos shows that the user zooming in on a dog sitting inside the car, suggesting the zoom performance beyond 10x. The other two teaser videos focus on low-light video recording, indicating improvements in capturing videos in darker conditions.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to come with a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom support. And it is also tipped to go with the updated 200MP primary camera sensor. Whereas if we discuss the other two models, they are expected to get an upgraded 12MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom or to retain the 10MP telephoto unit used in the Galaxy S25 series.

The upcoming flagship is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The processor has been reported to feature up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The device is rumoured to house a 5000mAh battery with support for 60W wired fast charging and 20W wireless charging. There are only this many details that have come to know via some reports.
