New Delhi: The upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to become the first-ever Samsung device to support faster charging than the 45W wired charging, and the company is laying the groundwork for that with the launch of its latest 60W charger. It’s called the Samsung 60W Power Adapter, and it has appeared on the Samsung official website branches for various countries all around Europe, but also in South America and parts of the Middle East.
The charger has one USB-C Port and supports Super Fast Charging 2.0; it boasts a low standby power draw of just 5mW. It is going to help the following standards, including USB-PD 5V, 15V, 20V and PPS 5-20V at up to 3A. There is no AVS support. The older 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0 adapter offered a 3A charging at up to 15V and 2.25A at up to 20V, both of which are limited to 45W. Samsung advertises that users can use its latest 60W charger for their devices, but also for Galaxy tablets and for the Galaxy Book laptops.
Now, no current Galaxy tablets support faster than 45W charging, but the Tab S12 series may change that. The Galaxy Book do feature 65W charging. For safety, the charger supports temperature protection, overcurrent protection and short circuit protection. Also, it is specially designed for low-noise operation. The Samsung 60W Power Adapter is priced at €53 (roughly Rs 5,619), and it will be available in only black. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will have faster wireless charging too, going up to 25W. The S26 and S26+ are supposed to support 20W wireless charging.
