Samsung Health app could soon handle medicines and diagnostics

New Delhi: Samsung has recently released its latest feature, called Find Care, integrated into its Samsung Health application in India. This feature is available through collaboration with PharmEasy and Tata 1mg, and it is starting from February 24. The users will be able to order medicines, book diagnostic tests, and consult doctors online directly through the Samsung Health application. The Samsung Health application is available on Galaxy devices, and it supports tracking of health metrics on compatible devices.

It is used to track fitness and wellness data such as physical activity, heart rate, sleep patterns, and calorie intake. It also supports medication reminders and access to Health Records. This application will now include healthcare services along with its existing tracking tools. The integration means the users will not need to switch between different applications to access services from PharmEasy or Tata 1mg. With the Samsung Health interface, users can place medicine orders, schedule lab tests, and book online medical consultations. Samsung has stated that the feature is designed to bring multiple health-related services into one platform.

PharmEasy will also provide a six-month complimentary PharmEasy Plus membership to Samsung Health users who complete their first transaction through the application. Samsung has also stated that the membership benefits will apply as per PharmEasy’s terms. Samsung has also done a partnership aimed at connecting digital health tracking with online healthcare services. It also added that the collaboration could help users access healthcare services using their smartphones.
