New Delhi: The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, which Samsung is expected to release in a few months, has emerged in a new, leaked hands-on video and provided smartphone lovers with a glimpse of what the foldables of the future might be like. Samsung’s leaked video says the company made enormous strides in minimizing the display crease, one of the biggest worries about foldable phones for years.
The video features various angles of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra being opened and closed. The video includes some shots of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra being opened and closed from different angles. The main folding display is most noteworthy, with the folded part being right on the edge. Despite being fully lit, it’s hard to see the fold line, and the screen appears to be much fuller than previous generations of Galaxy Z Folds. However, if it turns out to be a similar end product to the leaked video, Samsung may be delivering one of the greatest foldable display options out there.
Samsung claims to have made improvements to the hinge system to give that display an even fold. A good hinge will not only help to minimize the crease, but it could also help improve the phone’s durability over time. Each model of “foldable” smartphone has never looked like a possibility to get better, and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra feels like they’re continuing that trend.
Apart from the display, Samsung’s other prominent feature is its pairing with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which will make the phone one of Samsung’s fastest phones ever. It is also said to have a sizable battery, enhanced cameras, and new Galaxy AI capabilities. That being said, Samsung hasn’t officially stated any of the specs yet, so these should be considered rumors until Samsung officially announces them. Samsung is said to be presenting the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra at its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22. The company will also be launching the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8 and new Galaxy Watch models during the event.
The leaked video accurately depicts the final device, which could be one of Samsung’s more elegant foldable phones. If this can be achieved with a screen that’s nearly crease-free, then it would make for a far more enjoyable viewing experience that would make the phone’s foldability capabilities come across as more of a regular smartphone or tablet.
As always with videos and reports, though, it is important that readers are aware that the video may not accurately reflect the completed product. However, additional details, including pricing, availability, and full specifications, will become clear once Samsung officially reveals details about the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra later this month.
