Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ bags BIS certification before India launch

New Delhi: Samsung’s upcoming premium Android tablet might be headed to India soon. Galaxy Tab S12+ has recently appeared on the BIS certification database, a development that typically precedes an official debut in the country.

Galaxy Tab S12+ will be part of Samsung’s flagship tablet lineup, and it is also possible that it will be joined by the Tab S12 Ultra model. However, the certification listing also includes the model numbers SM-X840 and SM-X846B, indicating that Samsung is now preparing both Wi-Fi and 5G variants of the tablet for the Indian market.

In recent leaks, it has been suggested that it might retain Samsung’s aim of premium tablet experiences with a 12.4-inch AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This display is going to continue Samsung’s tradition of offering several of the best OLED panels in the Android tablet segment.

However, the large and vibrant screen might cater to creative professionals needing a large, color-accurate display. It could be powered by MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9500 processor. It might be coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

However, the rumors indicate Samsung might equip the Galaxy Tab S12+ with a 10,500mAh or 10,600mAh battery, providing all-day endurance for productivity, media consumption, and gaming. Samsung might include a 12MP front-facing camera capable of recording 4K video, making this tablet suitable for remote work and virtual meetings. Out of the box, it is expected to run on Android 17 based on One UI 9.0.
