Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may debut next month with major upgrades

New Delhi: Samsung is set to unveil its most-awaited next-generation flagship smartphone series, Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company is expected to launch the latest Galaxy S series smartphones next month. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series is stated to consist of three smartphones: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Now, in some latest leaks that have surfaced online, the likely launch date of the most expensive Samsung device has been revealed. Samsung may launch the smartphones on February 25. Samsung has also decided to keep the prices of the Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 unchanged, with no price increase planned for July.

Samsung S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000nits. The device may come with a substantial performance boost by incorporating the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processors. The chipset may also be optimised for the Galaxy devices. The processor will reportedly feature up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of onboard storage.

In terms of photography, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is stated to come with the best camera that the company has to offer. The quad camera setup is suggested to go with the 200MP primary camera sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera sensor with 5x optical zoom and an additional 10MP shooter sensor. The device is believed to run on the One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box.

The device is also reported to house a 5000mAh battery capacity with support for 60W wired fast charging, up from 45W in the Galaxy S25 Ultra model, and 20W wireless charging. And finally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra phone is likely to retain much of the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s design with the tiny refinements in the camera island.
