New Delhi: Samsung is now expecting that they are going to cross the 100 million units sales mark of its Galaxy A series in India, driven by the latest unveils AI segment with the newly launched Galaxy A17 5G, and it was highly expected to cross their this mark with this latest A series smartphone, and because if we discuss about the previous A series that was Galaxy A55 5G, it was the smartphone that was best value of money smartphone they have created, with much better performance that will offers good quality of streaming with the AI features.
If we discuss the sales of that A series smartphone, around 8.8 million units of this A series smartphone were sold, which is a pretty good sales number they have achieved with their A series phone. The company has sold an estimated 96 million units of the Galaxy A series till June 2025 since its launch in 2019. Galaxy A17 5G will be the most affordable AI smartphone in the A series, which will actually be the largest portfolio of smartphones that users have in the Samsung bouquet of products. They also expected that this milestone could be completed by the end of the year.
This Galaxy A17 5G comes with a pricing range of Rs 18,999 to Rs 23,499, and it features a 50MP main camera with OIS support, which is popularly known as the no-shake cam, with the Exynos 1330 processor, and with a 5000mAh battery pack. The company also expects double-digit growth in the flagship Fold series and the S series smartphones compared to the sales it recorded in last year’s festive season. In India, Samsung was the second largest smartphone player both in terms of value and volume in the first quarter of 2025. Samsung led the smartphone supplies with a 20% market share in the first quarter of 2025.
