New Delhi: Redmi has recently revealed some key details about its latest Redmi Note 17 ahead of its debut in China on July 14. Redmi executives have confirmed several of the biggest upgrades coming to the standard model, including its display, battery, and latest color options, offering buyers a clearer idea of what to expect from the next-generation budget devices. It will feature the largest OLED display ever seen on a Redmi device, measuring 7 inches diagonally.
It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which reaches up to 1200nits of global brightness, and it also includes Xiaomi’s eye protection technology for more comfortable viewing. Redmi has also introduced the Meteor Purple color variant, which features a distinctive streak-inspired finish on the rear panel. However, the official images indicate the standard Note 17 retains the flat design with the plastic frame, while the rear camera module carries a layout similar to the Pro model but with a different camera arrangement.
Another major upgrade is a massive 8,000mAh battery, which is uncommon in this price segment. Redmi is also positioning the device as a long-lasting smartphone capable of handling heavy daily use without frequent charging.
