According to the company, its future Realme smartphones and existing models (with a few exceptions) will ship with ColorOS 17 and not with the Realme UI of its own. The change is part of an effort to speed up and streamline software development and updates.
The company says it is just a “software alteration” and won’t impact its business workings in India. Realme will continue to roll out new smartphones in the nation, provide software updates, and customer support services on similar lines to its previous strategy. According to Realme, the ColorOS system will make device updates easier with its widespread use. Realme’s new software will use the same software platform as its parent Oppo, allowing for faster software updates and progressing in the scale of system stability and user experience.
The overall user experience will be recognizable. ColorOS has many features from Realme UI, including customization options, privacy tools, AI-powered features, and performance enhancements. However, due to the software changeover, the company hasn’t revealed any pivotal hardware or product overhauls.
