New Delhi: The most recent Velar model from Range Rover has been presented, and it comes with a number of modifications and cutting-edge technological improvements. The new Velar adopts a minimalist design approach and adds a stunning grille, along with new Pixel LED Headlights and Signature Daytime Running Lights that have a jewel-like look. These design features give the Range Rover range a uniform appearance.
The car’s imposing overhang at the back emphasizes its long, substantial body. The Velar’s elegance is further increased by the installation of new LED taillights with an impressive 3D look and super-red glow. A full-length high-level stop-lamp completes the set of components.
With two special curating choices for the Indian market, the New Range Rover Velar provides consumers with a choice of four exterior colours and two interior colourways in Windsor leather.
The DRL signature has also been changed for a new appearance. With the exception of the new 20-inch alloy wheels and redesigned bumper and taillights at the back, the silhouette is unchanged from the front.
There are two engine choices for the Range Rover Velar. The 2.0-litre petrol engine has a maximum output of 250 horsepower and a maximum torque of 365 Nm. When coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, the Velar is said to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, achieving a high speed of 217 km/h. Then there is the 2.0-litre diesel engine, which is paired with a mild hybrid system and has a maximum power output of 204 horsepower and a maximum torque output of 430 Nm. Once more, an 8-speed automatic is used for the gearbox, and according to Land Rover, the 0-100 km/h sprint takes 8.3 seconds, with a peak speed of 210 km/h.
The “Ultimate Luxury” collection is offered in Radar Grey with Deep Garnet inside and 20-inch, 10-spoke Satin Dark Grey wheels. The “Designer’s Choice” selection, on the other hand, is available in Varesine Blue and has Caraway interiors and 20-inch, 10-spoke Satin Dark Grey wheels. The vehicle’s elegance is highlighted with Moonlight Chrome highlights on the steering wheel, centre console surrounds, and air vents, as well as Shadow Grey Ash wood veneer trim finishes.
For quick access to items that are often utilized at the beginning of every trip, such as window defoggers and heated/cooled seats, we can utilize the Pre-Drive panel. As soon as the car starts driving, it switches to the recognizable three-panel home screen, which Pivi Pro allows you to customize. Notably, wireless updates are supported by 80% of the vehicle’s ECUs, providing ongoing performance improvements.
The DRL signature has also been changed for a new appearance. With the exception of the new 20-inch alloy wheels and redesigned bumper and taillights at the back, the silhouette is unchanged from the front.
The Range Rover Velar is an off-road SUV, despite its luxurious appeal, and as such, it comes equipped with a variety of technologies that are exclusive to these tough SUVs. For instance, Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2 technology is available for the Velar. By doing this, the settings of the automobile adjust to the present driving circumstances. The electronic air suspension and adjustable dynamics, which provide a reasonably pleasant ride, also contribute to this. But the Velar also has an “Elegant Arrival” setting thanks to the electronic air suspension. When this is switched on, every time someone gets in or out of the SUV, the ride height is decreased by 40 mm.
Moving inside, the Velar receives a new dashboard that brings it into line with the Range Rover and Sport versions. With the company’s Pivi Pro operating system and wireless smartphone connection, the new 11.4-inch touchscreen sits erectly in the centre. The previously stated Terrain Response feature, which was formerly controlled by a dial on the central console, has been transferred to the infotainment system. The huge display now houses the HVAC controls as well, providing the console as a whole with a much more streamlined appearance.
The Velar gets a variety of camera technologies in addition to this. For instance, the 3D Surround camera provides a 360-degree picture of your surroundings. On the other side, the Clear Sight Ground View employs a front-mounted camera to show what is underneath the automobile.
The Velar also includes a large number of other features, like Active road noise cancellation, a purifier for the air, four-zone climate control, 20-way massaging front seats, wireless charging, and a top-of-the-line Meridian sound system are a few of these features.
