Prime Video adopts vertical feed inspired by Instagram Reels

New Delhi: After Netflix, Amazon also introduced its most-awaited latest interface called Clips, which unveils a short-form vertical video feed. Clips also expands beyond sports, highlighting scenes and moments from movies and TV shows available on Prime Video.

Clips feed will work similarly to the short video experience seen on platforms like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. However, this feature is limited to the US; the wider rollout is expected in the coming months.

Users can scroll via short video snippets directly inside the Prime Video mobile application. While watching a clip, users can instantly open the full movie or series, rent or purchase a title, subscribe if required, save the content to their watchlist, or like and share clips with their friends and family.

This feature is specially designed to make content discovery convenient, especially for users who spend only a few minutes browsing during their breaks or commutes. Shared clips can also be sent via messaging applications, social media platforms, or emails.

Anyone who opens the shared link will be redirected to the clip inside the Prime Video application. To access the shared clip, the recipient will need to have the Prime Video application downloaded on their mobile device.
