New Delhi: POCO has officially scheduled the POCO X8 Pro series unveil in India for March 17. This series will include two models: POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max. POCO has also confirmed that the upcoming device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity chips and will have big capacity batteries.
POCO Global has also confirmed that the POCO X8 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, while the POCO X8 Pro Max will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor.
These upcoming models could become the first devices in India to use MediaTek’s latest processor in its series. These MediaTek Dimensity 9500s and Dimensity 8500 Ultra were launched earlier this year.
In some teased images, it shows the POCO X8 Pro in white and the POCO X8 Pro Max in Black, both with the metal frame and dual rear cameras. The upcoming devices could be a rebranded version of Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 MAX.
POCO X8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of the camera, the device might feature a 50MP Main camera sensor with OIS support and a 20MP front-facing camera. It will house a 6,500mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging.
POCO X8 Pro Max is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is likely to feature a 50MP main camera sensor with OIS support and a 20MP selfie camera.
This device is expected to house a 9,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support. Both devices will come with an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance.
