POCO X8 Power vs Realme P4 Power: Can a 10,000mAh battery challenge Realme?

POCO X8 Power vs Realme P4 Power: Can a 10,000mAh battery challenge Realme?

New Delhi: The race for big batteries has become tougher and POCO might get one of Realme’s biggest battery-centric devices in the future. A recent report has revealed that the upcoming POCO X8 Power will be equipped with a large 10,000mAh battery. The report has proven accurate if the phone is equipped with a 10,001mAh battery. If all the reports are correct, the phone might be an all-new competition to the Realme P4 Power which comes with a 10,001mAh battery.

Currently, Realme has significant edge in this market. The P4 Power is equipped with 10,001mAh Titan Battery with 80W fast charging and was launched in India. It boasts a 50MP Sony OIS camera on the front as well as 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra is also cramped to the device, courtesy of which the performance is expected to be impressive.

This doesn’t only make it impossible for POCO to outgun Realme with its massive battery in the X8 Power, but also leaves them with far less battery capacity to play with. The company will have to provide improved overall hardware or competitive price.

POCO’s biggest point of contention lies in battery life. The X8 Power’s 10,000mAh cell would mean that it can support long gaming sessions, video streaming and heavy usage without the need to charge regularly. But, Realme has already proved that power isn’t all that matters. It features silicon-carbon battery technology in its P4 Power with up to 32.5 hours of playback for video and can be used for reverse charging.

Charging speed may thus prove to be another factor that could go to the debate. Realme has 80W charging so POCO would need the same or better charging to make the X8 Power attractive. A faster charge would be particularly convenient for someone who would like an expensive battery but doesn’t want to charge it for too long.

Performance could be the biggest opportunity for POCO. The X8 Power might interest gamers and consumers looking for increased performance in a large-battery phone, if it is equipped with a higher-performance chipset than the Dimensity 7400 Ultra. To enhance the gaming efficiency and frame stability, Realme has already equipped its Power with a dedicated Hyper Vision+ AI chip.

Price will also be an important factor. The Realme P4 Power will be priced in India starting at Rs 25,999. However, the release of the X8 Power from POCO at a lower price and with similar specifications for battery life and performance might make it a tough competition for Realme.

Overall, the POCO X8 Power could be considered an ideal competitor of Realme P4 Power. To truly outperform Realme, POCO will have to have more than 10,000mAh of battery. How to outperform with a power chipset, rapid charging, robust display and competitive pricing.
