New Delhi: Paytm is introducing a new feature that enables businesses to verify their payments through ChatGPT. Paytm Payments Services Limited (PPSL), belonging to Paytm, has just unveiled another tool named Paytm Payment Gateway Plugin.
The plugin allows you to ask a question to ChatGPT, and receive answers about your payments. They no longer have to look at multiple dashboards and read long reports. This makes it much quicker and easier to review vital payment information.
This is not the first time Paytm is venturing into the AI chat tools space. Paytm had already integrated with another AI chatbot Claude to support its payment queries in August. The new ChatGPT plugin is based on this idea.
What can businesses do with it?
This tool can be utilized in various ways by both the founders, finance teams, and operations staff. Founder in an example can ask what percentage of payment links during the week were paid. One of the finance team members can see the amount of funds that have been received or paid off over a given period of time. An operation’s person may learn the standing of a refund or a subscription.
The plugin can pass on payment links, subscription, refunds, settlements, and other general business reports information depending on the merchant permitted information.
Safe and Read-Only Access
This new functionality is known as the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which securely links a business’s private payment data with ChatGPT. This information is available to only approved users, and remains the merchant’s control at all times.
Please be aware, the tool does not involve in any payments, refunds or transfers of money. It only processes information and can’t take any action. Paytm’s traditional payment system remains in place for any real payment work.
Businesses need quick responses regarding payments and this new tool will allow founders, CEOs, or developers to access data including transactions and refunds, much like they are already accustomed to doing on their respective platforms, but now within the confines of ChatGPT, in a secure manner, said a Paytm spokesperson.
