New Delhi: So, finally, OnePlus has revealed its most-awaited update for the OnePlus users, the OxygenOS 16. It has officially announced the latest software update based on Android 16. The newest update unveils visual changes, performance improvements, and several AI-powered features. According to the company, OxygenOS 16 will be rolled out in batches starting in November 2025.OnePlus has divided the design changes into two categories: “Breath With You” and “Thrive with Free Expression”.
“Breath With You” will generally focus on improving the visuals of the core system, making it feel more fluid and unified. Whereas “Thrive with Free Expression” offers users more options to customise their devices. This latest update brings Gaussian blur effects to multiple areas, giving the system a Liquid Glass-like design. A translucent floating bottom bar is added to the default Photos application, the home screen search bar, application drawer, and recent screen, resembling Apple’s iOS 26.
OxygenOS 16 will enable users to customise quick titles in the Quick Settings panel. The two buttons for edit and the three-dot menu, previously at the bottom, have been moved to the top for easier access and a more intuitive experience. The update unveils several AI-powered tools:
Private Computing Cloud: Processes user data locally without sharing it with third parties.
AI Writer Toolkit: Helps create mind maps, draft emails, write captions for social media, and improve text. It also supports chart creation.
Mind Space: Organises scattered information in one place for easy access.
The Live Alerts features, displayed near the selfie camera, will now receive real-time updates from the application using the Live Updates API.
