New Delhi: OnePlus has recently announced they has temporarily hold its rollout of select OxygenOS upgrades after some users has reported an abnormal restart and boot loop issues on their devices. OnePlus has also confirms that OxygenOS versions 16.0.7.XXX and 16.0.5.XXX are affected by the issues.
This issue came to highligjht after users started to installing the latest upgrade found their devices to stuck in continuous reboot cycles, which is effectively by making the phones unusable.
OnePlus Community also posted an statement in which OnePlus has acknowledged the issue and stated it has stopped the rollout to prevent further impact on the users. According to OnePlus, a small number of smartphones has experienced abnormal restart and boot problems after upgrading to the latest OxygenOS build.
It was decided to halt the software rollourt due to concerns related to the device stability and the user experience.
OnePlus then also added that its engineering teams are currently investigating the root cause behind the issue and are also working on fix. This upgrade rollout will going to resume only after stability and reliability checks are completed. However, OnePlus did not officially publish the complete list of the affected devices, OxygenOS 16.0.7.XXX was reported for the OnePlus 15 series in markets by including India and the United States.

OnePlus has also apologized to the users that affected by the issue and stated it taking the matter much seriously. It is reviewing its testing and quality assurance procedures to reduce the chances of similar incidents happening in the future software releases.
