OnePlus has officially announced and confirmed that it will going to stop introducing their latest products in North America and Europe. The decision has also created concerns among OnePlus fans in India, with many asking whether it is still a good idea to buy a OnePlus phone.
The pitch is not as different, though, as between OnePlus’ global strategy and its operations in India. OnePlus haven’t released any closures to India. The company has announced that its operations in India continued as normal and the country was one of its key markets.

But the big difference is to note: The popular OxygenOS operating system is also soon going away from the hands of OnePlus. The companies have indicated that future devices will gain access to the Oppo’s “ColorOS” while access to ColorOS 17 will also be provided for eligible existing devices.
This is a big let it down for those who precise OnePlus for its most neat and smooth OxygenOS software experience. It also reveals that OnePlus is gaining closer ties with Oppo, its parent company.
So, which OnePlus in India to purchase? The answer is yes at this time, but a little caution. While many of the hardware, performance and battery life issues are not a big concern when you are looking for battery backup on phones, if you liked the performance and hardware of the OnePlus when buying it or if you end up getting a better deal on it, there is no need to steer clear of it at the moment.
