New Delhi: OnePlus has officially announced and startes teasing its upcoming next-generation flagship OnePlus 16 in China, by offering us the first glimpse of its design while highlighting its next-generation gaming capabilities.
Although OnePlus hasn’t revealed the complete specs yet, the teaser and recent leaks offer a clear picture of what we can expect from OnePlus. The teaser confirms the return of the signature large circular rear camera island by replacing the square design used on the earlier generation.
The camera module appears to be slimmer with a cleaner layout. OnePlus is marketing the device as its most powerful gaming phone yet. The teaser aims on lower gaming latency, better sustained performance, improved thermal management, enhanced frame stability for long gaming sessions. Multiple reports indicate the OnePlus 16 will going to powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, it expected to be built on 2nm process for significant CPU and GPU improvements.
It might feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. With ultra-slim bezels. It houses a massive up to 9,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It is paired with LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 4.x with next-generation storage.
Out of the box, it might run on Android 17-based ColorOS in China. Reports suggested that the OnePlus 16 might features with a 200MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera, and 50MP periscope telephoto camera. This might be one of the company’s biggest camera upgrades in recent years.
