New Delhi: So, after waiting this much time, tomorrow, OnePlus will finally unveil its most-awaited OnePlus 15 in India, but there is no call on the OnePlus 15R this time. The company did not even mention the OnePlus 15R during the launch event, but a brief comment from a spokesperson suggested that the next R-series model is on the way. However, the brand has not confirmed any release date, price, or specifications yet, but these details are expected to come soon. In some of the early reports, the device may arrive as a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 6, which recently made its entry in the Chinese market. This device was powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and may offer up to 16GB of RAM.
OnePlus did not share any plans for the OnePlus 15R launch in India, but some reports suggest that the device could reach global markets, including India, as early as next month. In reports, it also indicated that the OnePlus 15R is expected to carry the pricing close to the previous OnePlus 13R, which went on sale in India earlier this year at Rs 42,999 for the base variant of 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. Since the OnePlus 15R is expected to match the OnePlus Ace 6, its pricing may follow the structure seen in the Chinese market. Its starting price was set for CNY 2,599, which is roughly around Rs 32,300 for the base variant.
If the OnePlus 15R mirrors the OnePlus Ace 6, the upcoming device may retain most of the specifications with some changes, possibly in the camera system. The OnePlus Ace 6 comes with a 6.83-inch flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, and peak brightness of 5000nits. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage. The device is expected to include a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP selfie shooter. It will run on Android 16 out of the box with a 7,800mAh battery with 120W SuperVOOC charging support. But still, there are no confirmed details that have been revealed yet for the specification so that it may take some time for the changes in the specification. These are just expectations for the upcoming budget flagship device, which may arrive soon in India, and is named as OnePlus 15R.
