New Delhi: OnePlus has become the first-ever smartphone in the world to offer a 165Hz refresh rate at 1.5K resolution. The upcoming OnePlus 15 smartphone will have this specification, so for those users who stream daily, they are going to have something different for them. Because for streaming and performing tasks, they are going to have a 165Hz refresh rate for a smooth tasking experience in this smartphone. Many of the users have been waiting for this smartphone, but for India’s launch, OnePlus has not confirmed any details for launching this smartphone. So we have to wait for some more time for the upcoming updates from OnePlus itself.
Display making movement BOE has already teased that the upcoming OnePlus 15 flagship will sport one of the best phone screens out there, and the official unveiling of its third-generation X3 panel didn’t disappoint users in terms of streaming experience. Developed in collaboration with OnePlus, the latest screen is the world’s first to achieve a native 165Hz refresh rate and 1-nit low-luminance display at 1.5K resolution, which is officially claimed by BOE. The panel is produced at the Oppo production lines, and Oppo pioneered phone displays with the high dynamic refresh rate and broad colour gamut coverage with factory calibration at the pixel level for each individual phone.
Additionally, Oppo has licensed its latest P3 display driver for the OnePlus 15, ensuring more granular refresh rate adaptation based on content shown, as well as uniform brightness and colour representation even at very low or very high brightness and refresh rate levels. The only fly in all that display is the fact that OnePlus has to choose 1.5K instead of 2K 1440p resolution for the new screen. It wasn’t done to save costs, argues OnePlus, as the BOE X3 screen is actually more expensive than the 1440p panel in the OnePlus 13, but simply because a 2K panel with 165Hz doesn’t yet exist.
